An Unforgettable trip to Thailand

Thailand is a dream destination for every bachelor.
We made a plan for 6 days and 5 nights. 3 nights in Pattaya and 2 nights in Bangkok.
The following are the preparation to be made:
1)   Booked your flight Tckts- Indigo , Air Asia etc
2)   Hotels Booking
3)   Apply for Visa
For Visa Application I would suggest take it from your own country , don’t opt for VOA( visa on arrival) because huge line is there and it can waste your 2 to 3 hrs.
Requirement for Visa :
  • Confirmed flight Tckts
  • Confirmed hotel booking
  • Last 6 months bank statement
  • At least 650 USD / 10000 THB
  • One passport sized photograph with white Background
Please be ready with your VISA at-least one week before. They will charge 2000 rupees for Thailand VISA.
Please purchase USD ( 50 / 100 currency notes b’coz at the time of exchange there is different rates for different currency notes). Exchanges  are available easily every 100 to 200 mtrs, each offering different rates.
Dont exchange it on AIRPORT  because the rate is very less.
Checklist I had prepared 3 days before :
  1. Photocopy of passport
  2. Photocopy of Pan Card
  3. Bank Statement ( need only for visa on arrival)
  4. Return Flight Tckts
  5. Hotel confirmation and Itenary
We had done our bookings from Make my Trip
The copy of Itenary is as below :
Visa Application form is as below:
The name of our Tour guide is Annie in Pattaya, no is 0871972230

In Bangkok the Tour Guide is Bobby, no is 0830682734
You can contact them whenever you are visiting Pattaya and Bangkok. They are very friendly and they offer the best packages one can have. Now the trip starts :

We booked a flight Tckts from Kolkata : Indigo Airlines
First of all you have to fill the Immigration form. At the time of Immigration they will be asking you several questions . Like 1) For how many days u r going , 2) How many money u are carrying , 3) What type of tour it is?  Answers these questions promptly. Most Imp if u r carrying INR also then max 7500 rupees per person is allowedAfter passing through Immigration and security check we are ready to board.  Please reach Airport 3 hrs before the departure.
We are equally excited to go to Thailand because it was our first international trip.
It was 2 hrs and 30 mins journey, around 1500 miles.Day 1As we reached Thailand it was early morning 3.00 am we have to update our watch as per Thailand s time.
We landed at Suvarnabhumi International Airport. I must say it is one of the largest airport in world and very big . At that time almost 20 to 30 flights landed simultaneously. There was a huge crowd at the Airport , mostly Chinese people. Some are running towards VOA counter and Who already had taken visa are running towards Immigration counter. Form will be provided itself in the Flight. Many counters are there , so it will take hardly 30 mins to finish all the formalities. We are through to all this and now the time is 3.45 am.
We take our luggage from the conveyor belt and proceed towards the Exit. Before exit we thought to take the Sim Card of Thailand . We took DTAC from Airport only . It cost us 299 THB including 100 THB talk time. For calling to India at 3 THB per minute the code is – 0040091*******(ur no) Now its 4 am .In our Itenary everything is written , Please see the Itenary above. We went to that Gate , many executives were there . We show our voucher to one them he told us yes ur car is booked for Pattaya at 5 am . So we waited for 1 hr. At am we saw one of the executives is standing with the Queue Card , my name on it and also the hotel name.

We straight away went to our car and went directly to Pattaya. It was an awesome journey covering 140 – 150 kms in 1 hr 15 mins. The Roads are amazing and the minimum speed of the car was 100 – 120 kms.
All the vehicles are running on Gas , pollution free.

We reached Pattaya around 6 am in the morning. It was looking so pleasant outside. Very clear roads with no traffic and almost all the shops are closed. Only Departmental store  7/11 was opened.

We reached our Hotel SUNSHINE GARDEN RESORT, amazing hotel , awesum location.

The city was looking amazing. Nice &  Clean Roads , pollution free city. No shops were opened except 7/11 that i mentioned earlier. Our check in was around 2 pm , so nothing to do we have 5 hrs in hand, so we thought to move around Pattaya. Then after moving for around 2 hrs we  were  feeling sleepy and then we request to give us early check in but they are not ready to accept so after having breakfast we slept in lobby only . Around 11 am they give us our room and as we entered the room we all sleep . The rooms are also good and spacious . It has an open swimming pool  and the view was magnificent.

We wake up around 3 o clock and we were all ready to go out and explore heaven. My suggestion is to carry light clothes , half pants , sunglasses and a hat. Open cabs are available which will take 10 THB for each person wherever u go. We straight away went to Beach. We went straight to Royal garden plaza

It was an amazing mall, consist of :

Ripley s Museum

Horror House
Mirror Maze
Louis Tussaud museum
5D Theater
Shopping and many more.

A package system is available and it becomes cheap. We opt for Ripley s , Horror house and Wax museum , it costs us around 900 THB per person.

It took us 4 hrs to complete all this , it was so big and so amazing that we were lost in it. The statutes are amazing and looking almost real. It was so much fun that cant be explain. It includes Will Smith , Jackie Chan, Bruce lee , Beckham, Tiger woods , Gandhiji , Nelson Mandela , Mylie Cyrus , Tom Cruise , Britney Spears , Hitler and many more…………….

Then we got exhausted and reached our hotel at 8 pm in night. After taking some rest , around 10 pm we again went out to do some mischief. We went straight to Walking Street.

Its the most crowded  and the most happening place here. Lots of bar , pubs but only 1 Disco is here. There are 3 Russian Bar also. Many open bars with live performances going on , Awesum.

The Walking Street sleeps around 6 am in the morning.  But we are not there till 6 am , we left and reached our hotel around 4 am and slept. The day ends…………………..OMG it was amazing we have done so many things and only 1 day passed. We are very much excited abt the coming days.

Day 2

Next day was going to be more amazing and exciting because we are going to coral island.
We wake up around 7am and done everything incl Breafast , our CAB was waiting and around 9 am we left the hotel for Coral Island. We wear our shorts and took our swimming Accessories , charged our Camera Battery, sunglasses and HAT or CAP, because it is very hot and sunny weather.  We went straight to pattaya beach and from there we were transferred to some place in the middle of the Ocean. We didPARASAILING , 500 THB . It was an amazing experience, a must do. After spending 2 hrs we again went to our Boat and Transferred to Big ship for SEA WALKING, 1200THB and if u want ur snap to be clicked it is 700 THB.

These are not included in Packaged Tour So please Exchanged your Dollar because u will be requiring THB for doing this Activity.

Sea walking
First of all the Guide  explain us the procedure how to go in , any risk is there or not and how to communicate inside water with your guide. We were told that it would be 35 mins in water and Guess What it actually Happened…….We have fed fishes, touch the coral etcccccccc. The feeling was amazing in water , it was unbelievable that it actually happened and moreover we did it.

After that we were transferred in the Glass Bottom boat  so that the coral can be seen clearly. It was a long Boat carrying around 30 Members. We were moving towards Island . The water was crystal clear. It was a lifetime experience for us. All around shacks are there.

Now its time for some action. We did banana boat ride , jet skie, and many other. After spending 2 hrs there we left Coral Island and reached Pattaya again.

Around 4 pm  we reached , People were in different mood. I mean to say that they were enjoying Songkran . Its a water festival also the mark of new year in Thailand. They were throwing water on each and every people passing by.

After reaching beach road we went to Indian Restaurant to have lunch. Still the crowd was enjoying Songkran.

From there our tour guide took us to The Gem Factory. It was an amazing place,in the world of gems,a must visit place.  Unlike many other tourist attraction in Pattaya, there is no entry fees associated with it.
The experience at the Gem factory begins with seating you in a toy train, you will get to experience the enjoyable simulation journey, where you will learn how Gemstones are extracted before they become the focal point of Jewellery.  They will also take you to the Workshop where you will see the masterpiece Jewellery pieces being created  by the workers. There is also a showroom with 2 different sections: First for Gem stone & Gold and second for Pearl Jewellery.

We reached our Hotel around 6.30 pm . We took rest for 2  hrs and then again at 9 pm we went to Walking street. we had our  dinner there only. We are there till 3 am and reached hotel around 4 am and slept.
This is how 2nd day came to an End.

Day 3

On Day 3 , we made an early arrangement on where to go with our tour Guide. Because this is our last day in Pattaya and we want to use it at our fullest. Our plan was to cover Sriracha Tiger Reserve and Mini Siam.
Our car was waiting outside. We left around 10 am.We got late, my advise to all to reach Tiger Reserve around 10.30AM

SRIRACHA TIGER RESERVE
Around 40 kms from Pattaya
It is a Zoo in Sri Racha , a city on the outskirts of Pattaya , a city in the Chonburi Province of Thailand.
Started 5 yrs ago, It become home to over 200 species. The specialty of the Zoo are :
Scorpion Queen
Pig Racing
Crocodile Show
Elephant Show
Tiger Show

Around 7 pm we are back. It was an amazing day, we went to zoo, feed animals, saw shows and also Mini Siam. It was a very hectic and we were tired so as we reach hotel we slept for 1 hr. We all were very happy , but on the same  it was our last day in Pattaya so we were feeling low but then we made a plan to utilize the whole night and do whatever we can do because it was the last night to live your life.
We wake up at 8 pm , have something and went straight to the Walking Street. We started searching the place we didn’t went and also some food Joints , we were very excited . Then finally we went to one disco, environment was not that god , no dance floor. After searching for 2 hrs we found one good place to spend our time , it was not exactly a discotheque but a bar sort of place, live performances are going on  and guys u wont believe that it was an awesum place .

I am not writing about Mini Siam because we didn’t like the place, but still some information i can give you like its entry fees is 300 THB. Its on the way to Pattaya city only, once u all are back from Zoo then go directly to Mini Siam. It is nothing but replica of the Monuments present in all over world except India.
The some of the Pictures which we clicked :

Day 3 Ends…………………..

Day 4

In the morning we wake up early at 7 am, had our breakfast. Our car was waiting outside to go to Bangkok.
Around 9 am we checkout from Hotel and proceed for Bangkok. It was a tiring journey for  2 hrs 20 mins.
Around 12 we reach our Hotel in Soi 11 Ambassador Hotel in Sukhumvit. The location was awesome. As we entered Bangkok City, it was like waooooooo .  Huge buildings , big cars, flyovers etccccc.
We checked in at 12.30pm . When we entered the room our Guide Bobby called us for Sight Seeing. First we went to WAT  TRAIMIT  ,home to the one of the world’s largest solid gold , Buddha statues.
Just across from  the main entrance is the Odeon Circle and Chinatown Bangkok.

It is 3.98 m high 3.13 m wide and weighing 5 tonnes made fully of Gold.

It was looking amazing. This is the first time m seeing any Statue made of Gold. Fabulous work. We spent there almost 20 mins and then we move towards our next destinationWAT PHO , worlds most famous Reclining Buddha Statue. It is very big .

It is one of the Bangkok temples dating back to the 17th Century. King Rama 1 expanded the Temple when Bangkok was established as a Capital of Thailand. It is almost 50 m in length covered in Gold Leaf. The Buddha’s feet are 3 mtrs long.

Huge crowd was there. It was really crowded and it was overall a nice experience. I will say a must visit place. To keep our shoes they will provide us a bag which we have to keep in our hand only. They will also be providing free Mineral Water. In the premises of temple many food joints are available , so need to worry about that.

At 3 pm we reached Siam Paragon. Nearest BTS sky train in Siam Square.  It was huge……..huge………huge. It s a biggest shopping destination in Bangkok. Not only shopping , it also has  largest food joint and hell lot of varieties are available. Almost all types foods are available and a must visit place for foodys. It took us almost 1 hr to decide what to eat . The mall was very Big and it contains almost everything. Even in the mall Ducati showroom was there also Harley Davidson, Lamborghini and Rolls Royce. On the top floor Blue O and PVR was also there. Starbucks.

. Around 4 pm we finish our lunch and went straight to downstairs for Siam Ocean World. The entry fees was 600THB per person. Beside that Wax Museum was there , but we already saw that  in Pattaya so we didn’t went. But if anybody want to go for both then the Package is also available or u can contact Bobby he can arrange a package and believe me its worth.

It is one of the biggest underwater world in Asia. It has 1000 speices of different aquatic animal. It was around 7.30 pm we came out of it and went straight to our hotel to take some rest. Sky train is easily accessible. But it will be crowded at this time.

We reached around 8 pm. We were now searching for the night out . We find one discoShock 69.
Just tell to Cab driver the name of the place and he will take u . He will be getting commission for it.
The entry fees is 300 THB, inclusive of One drink. Its an awesum place , full of Beautiful Russian Girls. But don’t ever try to do any mischief , bouncers are keeping a track inside. A platform is there in the middle for dance , contain 2 polls . Its a crowded place mostly from 10 pm to 5 am. We reached around 11 pm , the place is on fire. Almost 60 % of the people on floor with their partner. Music was awesum. We also danced for 2 hrs and then came down for a drink.Girls will try to wow u but don’t get into it. After drink we again went on floor and released us . Then we decided to move out , it was late night around 3 am , we reached hotel and slept. The Day came to an End………………………..

Day 5 ( Shopping in Bangkok)

Now only 2 more day left , but still we are not done. There was so much to do. We have heard that Bangkok is  a great shopping so we decided to Explore . We have a list of Places where to go :

For Garments we went to Platinum Plaza

Platinum Plaza

Its  an awesum place to shop. Many no of shops are here , each selling products different from each other. For ladies i will say its  a Heaven. But guys don’t feel low there are many shops selling boys Tees . Print was awesum and u wont believe me in every shops u will find different prints. Here shops operate on a principle that buying 1 piece at a retail price and if u will buy 3 at once it will be wholesale price. Pricing is also not too high. A standard has been set almost in every shops that buy one tee for 300 THB and buy 3 at 700 THB. The material is also awesum. Bargain can be done but to some extent. The mall is on Phetchaburi Road.

For Electronics Pantip Plaza

Go straight from Platinum Mall , u will find Pantip Plaza. Its a one stop shop for Electronics. All type of Products are available. Branded as well as local products are available. If u want to buy a Camera then this is the place . Many shops are there but u will also find some shops selling only camera. My advice is to buy from these shops only. Huge difference is there in prices as compare to India.

Dont buy TV from here.

Pratunam Market

This is one of Bangkok s major market and is Thailand s largest Clothing Market. This is one of the Street market aimed for Tourist and it covers a large area. It is just on the opposite side of  Platinum Fashion Mall. Huge crowd is there but i m nt sure about the product they sell because we have not purchase anything.

It was a very hectic day and we are now very much tired, so we went directly to hotel to take rest. It was now 7 pm.

Again at night we left our place to explore again but in the opposite direction. We went straight to Patpong Night Market.

Patpong Night Market

Ask any cab to take u to this place. Everybody knows this place. It is one of the Red Light district of Bangkok. But make sure u reach there at 7 pm because the market is opened on for 4 – 5 hrs in the night. Its an amazing place to shop but be cautious about the price, bargain is most important at this market. Because the stall owners quotes the very high price. Each and every thing u will get here , all are branded but duplicate. Its an amazing place to shop. We spend there almost 3 hrs . Now it was 10 pm.

Dome at Lebua

It is the tallest Building in Bangkok, consist of 63 Floors.  It is must visit place in Bangkok. We took a cab from Patpong. It took us almost 2 hrs to reach.

Dome at Lebua

Dome at Lebua

It also has a Restaurant named Sirocco. It is on 63rd floor. A romantic dinner cannot be any better when it is under the starry sky. Its an amazing place and dinner is delicious but the last order will be at 11.30pm

Sirocco

It also has a sky Bar from where u can see everything, it s an amazing view. Please reach early under sunlight u will be able to see but we reach at night.

Hey the most important thing when u are at Lebua :

There is a normal dress code . http://www.lebua.com/the-dome/pages/dress-code

Details are given in the link attached above.

It was now 1 am , from there we went straight to Bossy disco , very much famous among  Indians . Its entry also 300 THB including 1 drink. They don’t allow anything to  take inside, they have a rack outside to keep peoples stuff.

It is an amazing place , mostly same set up as Shock 69 but a very huge one. Everything was same as Shock 69 but the only thing different was the set up. By set up i mean the pick up point. First time in my life i have seen live how the pick up happened, let s not get into the details about it. But overall it was a Indian crowd only. It was an awesum night. We enjoyed very much. It is also a  must visit place in Bangkok. We left at 3 am and reached hotel at 3.30 am and day got over…………

Day 6

It was the last day of our Holiday but the spirit remain  the same because it was a Shopping Time.  We went to the same place which i mentioned earlier Platinum Mall. We purchase Tees , Half Pants, cargo etc…It took us almost 3 hrs . Now the time was 2 pm . From there we took the cab and went straight to Phahurat Market. Also   known as Indian Market. This is an Ideal place to buy TV. Many Indian Shops are selling TV here. It was almost half the price in India. They accept payment in both THB / USD. They will take utmost 1 hr to give u the delivery along with the Bill. The Vat they charge will be  refunded  on the Airport by filling the form after  Check in. At 4 pm we recd the delivery and then went to hotel to keep it in our luggage. Again at 6 pm we leave for Patpong Night Market which starts around 7 pm and open till 11 / 12 pm. Here one have to bargain a lot if u want to purchase anything. Please reach here as early as possible because u can get the products at cheaper rate in the first half.

We reached the Hotel at 9.30 pm our cab was waiting to take us to the Airport . We left at 10 pm and reached Airport at 11 pm. Our flight was late night so we have ample of time to spend at Airport. It was crowded like anything . We waited for 1 hour till our Flight Check in starts.

Following Check Points :

1. There is a separate counter  for TV , it will not be included in your luggage.

2. After Check in go for Immigration.

3. Once all these done and u reached at the gate from where ur flight will depart just before that there is a VAT refund counter. Go to that counter they will deduct some amount and balance will be refunded.

Airport is also one of the Shopping paradise but it is very much expensive. Then the time came and we left . It was like mixed feeling when we left Bangkok.   But it has to happened and we went with a thought to visit again.

It was a great experience to share and a life time experience for each of us…………………….
