Like other Visa Consulates finally Thai Consulate also changes the procedure of obtaining a Visa by tourist visiting Thailand.
Now it’s not easy to get a visa. Previously only form, two photos and bank statement were required, but now Consulate has come up with the whole new guidelines.
Guidelines for Single Entry, Thai Visa is as follows:
Visa Fees: Rs 2000/-
Validity: 3 months, but can stay for maximum 60 days.
1) Two application forms duly filled
2) 4 Recent Photographs not older than 3 months with white background
3) Confirmed Return Flight Tickets
4) Confirmed Accommodation details
5) Travel Insurance (Recommended)
6) If you going to see any friend or relative then Invitation Letter. Along with it, a copy of their Passport or any ID and If they are not Thai, must provide work permit valid for at least 6 months.
7) Copy of front and last page of Passport.
8) Passport must have a validity of minimum 4 months along with two blank pages.
9) Bank statement for last one month causing a minimum balance of 700 USD (It must cover your stay and traveling expense)
10) A Cover Letter is mentioning what you going to do in Thailand and which all places you will be visiting along with the accommodation address and phone number and it should be addressed to “The Royal Thai Consulate.”
11) Visa fee to be paid entirely in the shape of Demand Draft in the name of “In the form of Demand Draft in the name of: “The Royal Thai Consulate General” payable at New Delhi, Chennai or Kolkata.

5) Is any appointment required to submit the Visa application?
No, an appointment is not required to submit the application. Go in between 8am to 12.00 or 1pm to 3pm. If you are submitting the application at Visa Application Center then you have to pay a fee of Rs. 300 or 400 and this have to be paid in cash.
