Eight years of my Journey started from 19th June’07

Hey guys, it’s me again. Yes, your very own freaky traveller.. I even recall this day- 19th June. My sister’s wedding anniversary and my first trip. I had a fever, still I went and never ceased after that. I have seen and experienced a lot. But yet I have seen only 4 % of the universe. Yet 96% left and very less time. I have seen my friends in last 4 years. They are growing like anything. Only when I examine myself, I see myself sticking out at the same place where I was 8 years ago.

2007

I embarked on my inaugural trip with friends- Darjeeling and Sikkim. I was in my first year of college. We all were school friends and it was fun. We fought many times due to deviation of judgement and we again become friends. Came to know many things close to myself and others. It’s been a great experience.

2008

It’s been really tough for me. Tuitions, College exams and 2nd stratum of my professional degree. No new friends, less travel, no festival celebration. But still we planned a holy trip to Varanasi. It was the first experience of going to such a place and that to with friends. It’s strange, I know that. It was also a great learning experience. At last, in the month of Nov I wrote my tests. All together a boring year.

2009

In January only we planned a trip for 15 complete days: South India Trip. Yeah, covering three states- Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. First time away from home for 15 days. I really love it. The results were out as I came back and I flunked the exam. And so for the adjacent 3 months no travel, no fun and finally I cleared the exam in 2nd attempt. I was really happy with that. The Year 2009 was a great year.

2010

I was really afraid of 2010 because of my final exam. It was really hectic but I managed to plan short trips. Tuitions, studies, test and so along. I was totally engaged in studies. I was very glad because I became Company Secretary and graduate. Also, I went to Delhi for the first time. In November we all seated for our final examination. This time I planned to celebrate New Year in some other urban center. Then I planned a trip of 15 days to see North India. It’s been a great experience. But again, after coming back results came out and I flushed it again.

2011

It started on a bad note. I got really demotivated. It held me about one month to recuperate. I tried again and failed again. It was really hard to live. I stopped traveling, watching movies, etc. I got my life boring. The year 2011 was really difficult for me.

2012

In Feb I shifted to my parent’s home. And finally my all endeavours are paying off. I qualified and become a Qualified Professional. After considering the results I was not that happy. But even so it was Ok for me. I started working with my uncle. In the month of Oct my friend who was in Bangalore, called me and ask me to come over for an interview. I go with the flow. And yes, this was the trigger point in my lifetime. I never recognized that God took in such different plans for me. Everything was totally new for me, but was never scared not even for a second that I am going away from home. I didn’t know anybody, no relatives only few friends and instantly they become part of my household. Also, first time I boarded a flight. It was the best year so far.

2013

It was just awesome. I went abroad for the first time and that too with my own money. I was on the top of the world. I got to Thailand, a much awaited destination. First time I got attracted to the opposite sex. The feeling was just great. And at that time only Freaky Travel was born. Life was going in a totally different direction. I became inclined towards traveling. Also, started blogging, seeing new people, making friends, etc. In one word- I started flying. But suddenly all my friends moved back to their house and I was left alone. In Dec I went to Thailand, but this time plan was totally different I did whatever I have been after.

2014

People say I did a lot in 2014. But what I did?? I got inked, went abroad, ran 5 half Marathons in different cities and gained many new acquaintances all over Asia. I just did whatever I wanted to do. Now I always travel in flight. I had to start planning in advance. Today I hold just one thing in my head – I want to understand the world and make at least one friend everywhere.

2015

This is what I was waiting for. I give up my job for Euro trip. It was a dream comes true. I went on a 44 day adventure. First time in a first world country.

It’s been 70 days am living a life of a Nomad. Now it’s time to go back to work. Need to get a job, earn money and again embarked on a journey. This is my life now. My friends are thinking to get settle down and am thinking to which country I should travel to.
