I am back with yet another amazing topic which people are really worried about- Euro trip is quite expensive.

Now I can say it’s a myth. It’s not expensive; it’s cheaper than a lot of destinations in Asia- which people assume to be the cheapest.  It took me 4 years to plan my Second Euro Trip. I was also in the misconception that it would be a costly affair. But now I know that it needs thorough planning and not a lot of money.

Let’s start-

First of all, you should ask yourself a set of questions- where you want to go and why you want to go there. This is important because Europe is a continent comprising of more than 20 countries with varying types of people who have different stories altogether. I have seen almost 60% of it and still, I feel that isn’t enough.

  1. KNOW YOUR INTERESTS

In order to make the right choices, you should know your interests. I mean to say- First of all you should know what kind of places there are in Europe and then decide what interests you the most. In order to know this, you should utilize the gift of the internet as much as possible and also seek help from someone who has seen Europe. It may be me, your friends or anyone and not someone who has gone to Europe to visit Disneyland. Haha.

Europe is all about its history, people, food and culture. In every 100-200 km, you will land in a different city or even a different country.

  1. SEASON

After you decide where you want to go, then you should see the season because that is extremely important. Too hot or too cold or heavy rains could ruin your trip. I know people who went to Amsterdam in Sept, Norway in summers and Swiss in winters, which is not advisable. According to the season, you should choose your destination.

  1. KNOW THE GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION

The next most important thing is to know the location of each place you want to visit. Definitely you can take flights and go anywhere you want to, but that will not suffice the purpose.

  1. TOURIST TRAPS

Next big thing is the Tourist Traps. It means expensive restaurants, expensive souvenir shops, and overrated places and museums. And you will find these tourist traps mostly in the city centers and around Old Square. Also, you should be aware of the scams so that you don’t end up being a victim.

  1. WHERE TO STAY

Where to stay is the most frequently asked question. Yes, this is quite important because if you stay at the centre you can save a lot on transportation cost. If your accommodation gives you free breakfast then it’s the best option.

  1. HOW TO MOVE FROM ONE CITY TO ANOTHER

Europe has the best transportation network. Even if you want to travel in the next hour, you can do it easily because there are lots of options to do that. The only problem could be the price you have to pay. The more in advance you book the cheaper price you get. Look for promotions and coupon codes for discount. There are some companies through which you can book refundable tickets. So even if your plans get changed, you still won’t lose much. It’s a very economical thing to do.
