Those who have visited can understand what I want to say. So let’s start shopping.

Kuala Lumpur caters to every taste, preference and budget. From Swanky malls to the backstreet stalls of China town, it has everything for each and every tourist. Bukit Bintang, the city’s premier shopping district offers a huge line of shopping malls just a walking distance to one another. I have never seen so many shopping malls at one place. From designer brands, retail brands, bargain shopping to market haggling, KL has it all!!.

Here’s a look at the top places to shop in Kuala Lumpur:

Suria KLCC

It is one of Luxurious Mall in KL. It occupies the first six floors of the PETRONAS Twin Towers. It defines the exact meaning of the word Luxury. It has everything from luxury goods to everyday items including a Multiplex, Aquarium, fantastic food court and a huge Kinokuniya book store.

Opening hours: 7 days a week- 10am to 10pm

How to get here: Just get down at KLCC station (on Kelana Jaya Putra line) 2 mins walking and you will see PETRONAS Tower.

What to find here: Everything whatever you want but it’s really costly.

Suggestion: If you are not a budget traveler then this is a place for you. Also, if you are looking for designer brand.

It’s a must visit shopping mall in KL. It lies in the heart of Bukit Bintang. It has a total area of 1.37mn square feet comprises of 500 outlets offering the finest fashion and home furnishing to entertainment and culinary delights. It has 7 distinct shopping precincts, first time ever in KL. Out of which one is Connection comprises of street bistros, cafes and urban leisure- A must see. Also outside of mall – the famous Pavilion Crystal Fountain is the new national landmark.

Suggestion: Go on weekends you will witness the huge crowd and that connection precincts opened till 12 am.

If you want to buy electronic products then this is the best place to buy. It is Malaysia’s largest IT mall. And the best part is that each floor is dedicated to a particular product and it’s on top of the list of every techie. Also, it needs some bargain.

What to find here: Electronic and digital goods

Suggestion: Go early around 12 so that you can get a good bargain option.

New York has one, so does Hong Kong. So it makes sense that KL one of the largest shopping destination in South East Asia should have a Times Square. It claims to be world’s 9th largest building in terms of floor space. It’s a must visit Mall.

It’s a 48th storey twin tower, 203m comprises of hotel, indoor amusement park and shopping complex. It also has an exciting musical stair case. It is more than a shopping complex. Outside of it is the World’s largest candy vending machine.

If you really want to shop, then this is the place. This place is for serious shopping. Here you will find some amazing store to shop. Food bazaar is awesome. Lots of fruits. It has two food court, you will get various options in vegetarian food. This is more popular because of its affordable shopping.

Suggestion: Best place to shop in Kuala Lumpur.

If you are interested in street shopping then this is the place. But be careful before going to Petaling Street. All my friends have worn me, when I told them that I wanted to go to China town. Their words- “Be careful, always keep your bag in front. Keep your eyes wide opened. Be cautious if you are buying something and blah blah…….

Nothing happened with me but there was a feeling that something can happen. But anyways always think positive and be positive.

How to get here: Walking distance from Pudu Central and Central World Market

What to find here: Fake designer brands products.

Suggestion: Just pay a visit; don’t shop.

Central Market

Best place to buy local products. If you want to buy souvenir’s or any local product for your loved ones than this is the place. It’s very big and old. Many no of shops each selling only souvenir’s and nothing else. Lot of local cuisines also to try, if you feel like. It is a replica of Malacca’s Jonkers street. People call it a Centre for Malaysian culture, heritage, art and craft.

What to find here: Local products and art & craft.

Suggestion: Must visit place; outside the market there are array of food stalls.
