Weekend trip to Shirdi Sai Baba

Hi Fellas, I Am back with yet another expedition. But this time its nothing fancy huh ! A Mythological Weekend: Trip to Shirdi Sai Baba 

It all starts from Kopargaon, the nearest station to Shirdi 15 kms away , half an hour journey from Auto rickshaw. But before that let me tell you an amazing story which brings us to Shirdi. Yet another holiday, so we were planning to have a blast but everything what you  planned will never work out. Same thing happened to us. Lets get back to Shirdi. We booked a train tickets from Bangalore to Kopargaon. We book the tickets in Karnataka Express, leaving Bangalore at 7 pm. I was about to miss the train but somewhat i managed to catch it. The train was very neat and clean , unlike that of Hampi Express. The first station that we got off was Solapur around 7.30 am in the morning. Train stops here for 20 mins.

All the cleaning stuff are done here. The station was amazing, everywhere you will find Idly and Vada . Around 7.50am train left. We were getting very much bored, so we thought to see the movie. All the people at our place also keen to watch the movie. So we started the movie. Now the time was 10 am. Then the next station was Ahmednagar around 12.30 pm. Train will stop only for 3 mins. I mentioned this station because if u want to go to Shani Shinganapur then get down at Ahmednagar station. It is 43 kms from here. it will take you around 50 mins but if you will go from Shirdi it is 75 kms.   Now it was only 2 hrs to reach Kopargaon. We continue our movie………………… Finally around 2 pm we reach Kopargaon. Train will stops here only for 1 min , so everybody was in hurry. But we somehow managed get down , not only us almost full train passengers get down here only.

Now Shirdi was around 15 kms from here. We took a share auto , he charged us Rs 40/ person.

It took 30 mins to reach Shirdi. He dropped us near the temple only so no need to worried about it. Now the time is 3.30 pm . We yet to make our plan , then at 4 pm we finally made it and we book a room in a Hotel for stay overnight and leave for Pune tomorrow morning. Then we were ready to go to Temple. The time now was 6 pm. It was not crowded. But before that I would like to share some info. There are separate lockers for keeping shoes and others accessories like camera , bag etc so no need to worried but the main issue will be queue.

In temple there was no queue , but since Aarti started at 6.30 pm so we got stucked . Around 7.15 pm Aarti got finished and again they open the way which lead to temple. As I enter the temple, the feeling was awesome which  cant be expressed. We were in temple for 2 hrs. The time now was 9.30 pm then we decided to go to Shani Shingnapur.  150 kms Round Trip. Before sunlight if you will go then one can get a share car for Rs 100 to and fro Journey. But in night no vehicle goes so you have to book a car and it will take 1000 rs for to and fro journey. Altogether it was a nice experience . We came from shani shingnapur at 1 am . Very less people were there in the midnight but no need to worry the temple is open 24 hrs.
