Its been a long time since I went to Varanasi ( So called Benares ). I went when i was in Kolkata. It happens to be a rainy season. The weather was really cool,,,,,,just kidding it was a hotty June,11. When I made a plan to visit i don’t know about this place so closely , what i know was it is known as ” Spiritual Capital of India “. I have heared  a lot about it that if you will take a bath in Sacred River Ganga you will get Moksha.  Also one of the largest university is here known as BHU.

It is almost 700 km from kolkata. It is well connected with other neighboring cities. Well connected by rail and road. It took us almost 10 hrs to reach Banaras from Kolkata. We reached late night so we hire an Auto and went straight to our Guest house near Dasashwamedh ghat. Its a really nice place to visit.
